Summer Camp 2012

Come join in the fun with Maple Dene and Moppet School this summer! In addition to projects focused around the exciting themes for the Pioneers (ages 6-12) and Explorers (ages 4-6), there are water activities (including cooling off on our 100’ waterslide), picnics, scavenger hunts, sand castle building, sing-a-longs, and more going on all summer long! Plus, fun-filled days like ‘hat day,’ our always popular ice cream socials, and games of capture-the-flag.

Sign-up for 2 – 5 days per week. Full day and extended hours available. Summer Camp hours 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Take a look at some of our fun camp activities!

During Woodworking beginners learn basic carpentry skills using hand tools. Experienced carpenters have the opportunity to design and build their own projects while they sharpen their skills. Many great projects planned for 2011!

Pioneers can experience the joy and learn the fundamentals of archery through fun-filled activities that have helped sharpen the skills of archers throughout the ages. Taught by certified instructors Bob Vieira and Pat Kenneally.

Hand build pinch, coil, and slab pots, create sculptures and jewelry during Pottery. The possibilities are endless! Experiment with different glazes. Pioneers have the opportunity to enjoy using a potter’s wheel.

Garden indoors and outdoors, plant and care for flowers and plants. Create your own dish and kitchen gardens, and learn about the science of composting and the benefits of organic gardening.
